Overcoming Your Giants
"In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask anything of the Father, he will give it to you in my name.” — John 16:23
When David defeated Goliath, he gave us a great example of what it means to have God on your side. Our problems may be bigger than we are, but they’re not bigger than God. If we had to face things on our own, we would be in trouble. The good news is that we don’t have to face trials and tribulations on our own. God is for us, and He can overcome any enemy or obstacle that threatens us. We may not have seen our situations coming, but God did. He isn’t surprised or intimidated by oversized obstacles — He has defeated giants before and He can do it again. What looks like an obstacle to us can actually be an opportunity for us to overcome the enemy through Christ. We must not be afraid of the pressure, but must stand strong in our faith and watch the giants fall. May God grant us the faith to face our own giants and help us to remember that our problems are never too big for Him.
